As I expected, my wife dragged me to see "Da Vinci Code". And, to my surprise, I loved the movie. I loved it in part for its conceptual foolishness. I point to the notion that the only direct descendent of a married Rabbi Jesus should live in France and should also be a descendent of French kings. The point, as I read between the lines, is that the French monarchy is directly descended from Jesus and thereby (notwithstanding the notion of Jesus marrying) God. So, is the real debate of the movie between the monarchists and the defenders of the French Revolution?
Oh, those French; they are so, so, so ... French! Just because they bake delicious bread, they think the world revolves around them.
