The Jerusalem Post has published a useful analysis of discussion among Lebanese of the outcome of the recent conflict between Hizbollah and Israel. As it turns out, according to a poll, a majority of non-Shiite Lebanese do not think Hizbollah won the conflict. This contrarian view is being expressed politically, throwing Hizbollah onto the political defensive. The analysis is by Asher Susser, Director of the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University.
