This close-in full portrait of the tree reveals that the trunk terminates quite low, yielding to multiple large branches that grow out at all angles.
The street lamp to the side of the tree is a historic design, though not historic in itself, installed some decades ago. It is cast concrete. As the concrete poles have aged, several of them, along the street, are splitting where the iron bars embedded in the concrete are rusting.
